Happy New Year!! As this new year gets underway, I think about what the LORD would have us resolve to do. What are His instructions? He uses each and every one of us in His plan and for His glory. He will guide through each situation in our lives, if we ask Him to show us. What an awesome thing! But what are we to do with that? Are we to keep it to ourselves? NO! As I read Psalm 82:3-5, I couldn't help but make the connection with the Great Commission. Asaph refers to taking care of and defending those less fortunate, sharing with them because they walk in darkness. So, in making that correlation, and pondering what to say today, I came up with this. SHARE Him with others this year. It may mean stepping out of your comfort zone, but it may also mean being aware of how you live your life because people are always watching. You may not even know the example you are setting without saying a word. Ask Him to show you how to share Him with others, He will!
"Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless;
maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed.
Rescue the weak and needy;
deliver them from the hand of the wicked.
They know nothing, they understand nothing.
They walk about in darkness;
all the foundations of the earth are shaken."
Psalm 82:3-5
"Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Matthew 28:18-20
