Good Monday morning to you! I want to share that I have been under a pretty intense attack from the enemy in the last week or so. The basis of the attack is to discourage me from moving closer to the LORD, as is his goal in all of his attacks. The enemy wants me to believe that I'm not actually hearing the LORD and that the work I am doing in Him and for Him is in vain. I seem to rebuke the enemy at every turn throughout the day. I learned of others yesterday who are feeling the same attack of discouragement. It reminds me that the further we get in our walk, the larger the target we become. With each attack and each rebuke, I need to remember to just run to Him. All of this is for His glory, even the enemy knows that. So, for those of us who are feeling the attacks, Psalm 85 is for you.
"Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?
Show us your unfailing love, O LORD,
and grant us your salvation.
I will listen to what God the LORD will say;
he promises peace to his people, his saints--
but let them not return to folly.
Surely his salvation is near those who fear him,
that his glory may dwell in our land.
Love and faithfulness meet together;
righteousness and peace kiss each other.
Faithfulness springs forth from the earth,
and righteousness looks down from heaven.
The LORD will indeed give what is good,
and our land will yield its harvest.
Righteousness goes before him and prepares the way for his steps."
Psalm 85:6-13
