Tuesday's Morning Glory

Good morning! Today I am led to focus on the "heart," the center of the human soul or spirit. There are many references to the heart in Scripture, 743 actually (give or take).
The heart is a very important part of our relationship with the LORD, the biggest part. If the heart is hardened, the Spirit is hard at work to soften it. If the heart is broken, the Spirit can mend it. If the heart is full of joy, the Spirit will easily be poured out. Do you see where I'm going with this? Not only is the heart the source of physical life, it is the source of our spiritual life as well. Even when we are under attack, or feeling alone, the LORD is continually working on our hearts. His wants us to have "an undivided" heart. A heart that is pure and unselfish, not corrupted. He knows we cannot accomplish this without His help, and He wants us to ask Him for the help. We cannot do it alone. Our hearts were made to be in constant communion with Him, that is how He made us. And with one, cunning attack by the enemy that constant fellowship with Him was severed. So now, it is our choice to take our hearts to Him, willingly. Ask Him to help you examine your heart, you might be surprised at what you find.
"Teach me your way, O LORD,
and I will walk in your truth;
give me an undivided heart,
that I may fear your name.
I will praise you, O LORD my God,
with all my heart;
I will glorify your name forever."
Psalm 86:11-12
