Wednesday's Morning Glory

Good Morning to you on this beautiful day! As I started to read Psalm 78, I realized that I am going to need to spread it out over the next couple of days in order to get a better understanding of it. So, I decided that I will cover up to verse 30 today, if you wanted to read today's portion on your own.
Asaph begins by teaching about God's Law and passing on to future generations the miracles that the LORD performed for His people. He references the Children of Israel's flight from Egypt and their time in the desert. During that time, even though the LORD provided for them in miraculous ways, they continued to sin against Him and test Him. Yet, even though this angered God, He would not be driven away.
How many times in your life has the LORD revealed Himself to you in a big way and you demanded a little more proof? Has He pulled you out of a painful or stressful situation and moments later it was quickly forgotten? How many times do we challenge Him? How many times do we put Him in a box and only take Him out when He can benefit us or rescue us? He knows our sinful heart, yet nothing we could do will separate us from His love, mercy and grace.
"for they did not believe in God
or trust in his deliverance.
Yet he gave a command to the skies above
and opened the doors of the heavens."
Psalm 78:22-23
