Thursday's Morning Glory

Good morning, good morning! This morning I want to share a "Mommy moment" with you that I hope you will find as insightful I did. Last night while we were reading our family devotions, our soon-to-be three year old daughter blew us away. The title for the day was "God Sees Everything." As you can guess, the story was about God being everywhere and seeing all that you do. We were answering the questions following the story, and I asked "where is God?" Our eight year old, Meghan, answered "everywhere." Emilie quickly followed, very matter-of-factly, "God lives in my heart now." In her pure, concrete-thinking toddler mind, she gets it. She understands it, even when I don't. A lesson in having faith like a child, I would say. We know God's love for us intellectually, but do we know it in our hearts and accept it for what it is? Accepting it as concrete, never changing? He is faithful!! Let us set our hearts like a child's and walk out His love as adults made in His image.

"Praise the LORD, all you nations;
extol him, all you peoples.
For great is his love toward us,
and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever.
Praise the LORD."
Psalm 117
